Owen Scarlett is a multidisciplinary artist working across movement, sound, image, performance, and design. Rooted in a deep relationship to the body, his practice explores how identity, memory, culture, and emotion can be translated, distorted, and reassembled into new forms.
Voice, sound, moving image, light, technology, and the body operate as materials within the same vocabulary, each able to lead, recede, or transform depending on what the work asks for. He is drawn to the space between disciplines — where movement can behave like sound, an image can hold physical tension, or light and space can become part of a performance.
